It is so lovely to see everyone back for the start of the new term, I’ve been in our google classrooms this morning and everyone seems happy to be back and ready to learn which is excellent.
I hope the break was restful and everyone found ways to keep happy and safe close to home. I have been doing lots of bits and pieces in my garden so was very glad of the nice weather.
Now that we are back to school I just wanted to remind families of the information shared in the letter sent out at the end of last term related to attendance. In light of the current school closure attendance procedures have been reviewed so from today (Tuesday 21st April) teachers are being asked to monitor the ‘virtual attendance’ of each pupil through engagement with the online learning tasks or check ins with school staff. They are asked to alert the senior leadership team if children and young people are not visible so that we can check that everyone is ok, in most cases this check will be done through Groupcall. If you receive a text, please reply and let us know you are ok. If you are having any issues accessing any of the online learning tasks please do let us know by contacting school on 01224 692618.
Please remember we are here to support you throughout the period of school closure. There are many different types of support available as outlined on the school website here – Contact and Support. This is being updated regularly so please keep checking. If you need any support accessing any of these websites / helplines please contact us – we are more than happy to help.
Any questions or worries please do just get in touch.
