P4 – 7 UNCRC Survey

We have been asked by Aberdeen City Council to share this with our Primary 4 – 7 pupils.  It would be great if you had some time to complete this survey.  There are also some documents about the UNCRC which you may find useful.

The Scottish government requires Aberdeen City Council to report on the steps it has taken to ensure that all children in the city are able to enjoy their rights as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). It is really important that we hear from children and young people in the city to hear their views. The report will discuss specific groups/’clusters’ of articles and the series of questions in the survey addresses each of these. These clusters relate to a number of different articles in the convention.

We would ask that you support your child/young person to answer the questions in the survey and have provided some further information about articles of the UNCRC to support you with this. It may also be helpful to watch this video (with your child/young person) to give you a better understanding of the UNCRC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFMqTDIYI2U&feature=youtu.be (1 min 30 – 5 mins 25). Many of the questions will require a short ‘yes/no/don’t know’ response but some may require you to take a short note of their views.

Many thanks for your help and support with this.

Please click here to complete the survey.  The survey will close at 2pm on Monday 11th May so please complete the survey before this time.

Many thanks, any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
